Unlike other regional pomace brandies, its production is strictly confined to 215 municipalities within Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a defined zone starting alphabetically with Aiello del Friuli and Aquileia. This precise demarcation restricts raw material sourcing exclusively to these local bounds. Even though official registries currently record zero verified producers utilizing the denomination, the legal standard actively guards this specific geographic lineage, ensuring that any future bottling must adhere to the regional distillation criteria established over three decades ago.
