The Consorzio Vini di Romagna is the official, MASAF-recognised body safeguarding the region's viticulture. It manages a producer base of 120 verified winegrowers on its official lists. The consortium protects several wine denominations, most notably the Romagna Albana DOCG, which has 120 producers. It also guards Colli d'Imola DOC, Forlì IGT, Ravenna IGT, Colli di Faenza DOC, Colli Romagna centrale DOC, Rubicone IGT, and Rimini DOC (all currently with 0 producers), defending these names from imitation to promote authentic wines.
