Situated less than eight kilometers from the northwestern city of Sassari, Tissi utilizes its coastal-influenced limestone hills to yield 17 protected food and wine denominations. Prime among these is the Alghero DOC, a localized wine classification limited to a zone of just 8 municipalities, alongside the Nurra IGT.
